Intel NUC Kit NUC5i7RYH Repair

The Intel NUC (“Next Unit of Computing”) Kit NUC5i7RYH is a mini-PC with the fifth-generation Intel® Core™ i7-5557U processor released by Intel in the second quarter of 2015. Intel NUC kits feature customizable boards and chassis that can accept a variety of memory, storage, and operating systems.

The 5i7RYH system measures 4.53 by 4.37 by 1.92 inches and features 4M Cache and up to 3.40 GHz. It is considered a “bare-bones” system and includes an Iris Graphics 6100, an M.2 PCI-E SSD slot, an internal NFC connector, a Bluetooth 4.0 card soldered to the motherboard, and support for up to 16 GB of RAM. Users can also access two internal USB 2.0 ports via a header on the device. The outside of the case includes three standard USB 3.0 ports, one charging USB 3.0 port, and mini DisplayPort capable of 4K output, a combination 3.5 mm headphone/microphone jack, and a Kensington lock slot. It also includes a mini HDMI port and a gigabit ethernet jack.

The 5i7RYH system features a removable lid. Users with access to 3D printers or third-party manufacturers can personalize their NUC system by adding functionality like wireless charging, NFC, and 4G/LTE. Users can also add USB 2.0 ports and VGA as well as an SDXC card reader.
