These cords posed fire risk as well as the model would overheat and hat boot-up issues. The battery recall took place in March of 2013. From reports the typical fails on the laptop are hinges which damage the display and motherboard. The motherboard also tends to fail the power delivery and hard disk drives. Some of the complaints come from the weak battery life, questionable build quality. The lack of proper speakers and noisy fans when it overheats.
