The HP EliteBook 830 G6 is an aluminum designed laptop coming in touch and non-touch variants. The HP EliteBook 830 G6(model number: EliteBook 830 G6) was released between May and July 2019. This model upgraded from the G5 provides refined performance, enhanced security, modernized connectivity, and a slimmer build. Designed for business professionals it is designed as an ultra-slim aluminum chassis, 13.3-inch full HD and optional 4K display. It also supports 8th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. To separate itself from other laptops the EliteBook 830 G6 offers a fingerprint reader, HP sure view privacy screen, and HP sure start. It only weighs 3lbs and offers the newest processors. At launch this laptop received positive review from PCMag, TechRadar, and Laptop Mag being praised for its premium quality, strong performance, and advanced security. Critics also mention its a continuation in HPs reputation of a long lasting battery life and quite fan noise.

As of now, there have been no major recalls but some users have reported fan noise and thermal throttling under heavy load, later HP released BIOS updates to optimize fan control and approve stability.
