Background and Identification
The Hero4 Session (model no. CHDHS-101), released in July 2015, is the first waterproof action camera from GoPro. The device features a hard-plastic shell that eliminates the need for a larger outer casing. However, this waterproofing comes with a cost—unlike previous devices in the GoPro lineup, the Hero4 Session does not have a user-replaceable battery. Other notable changes include a new, cubed design, and a dual-microphone setup that reduces pops and clipping.
