Bio-Med Devices’ IC-2A ventilator is gas-operated with no electronic or magnetic parts. It has a built-in battery and does not need anything to power it except the patient's ventilation.

== Background ==

The IC-2A has an internal compressor that supplies air without the need for externally pressurized gas supplies. Oxygen can also be supplied by a 50 psi gas source and delivered via an internal blender in concentrations ranging from 21 to 100%.

The IC-2A can ventilate patients ranging in size from premature infants to adult patients. This broad range of applications, as well as the inclusion of non-invasive modes, distinguishes the IC-2A.
