Most repair instructions are available in the Precision 5570 Service Manual
Those devices are intended for professional/workstation use but I like them anyway for personal use because:
* Most part can be configured
- There are two slots for disk (M2 format) with a raid support
- There are two slots for RAM
- We can stick to a discrete GPU only (if pick the i5 CPU) if you don't want to install additional driver (but you can't have the nicest screen)
* We can have a battery of 86 wh if you care something heavier
- Select Linux as operating system to not have to pay for Windows if you don't use it
I haven't done much on the repair side yet. However, just after unpacking I added my existing SSD into it which was easy.
I'm happy to provide more information or answer questions people have about this device.
