Background Information
The Dell PowerEdge line is Dell’s server computer product line. The first PowerEdge systems were introduced in February 1994 and served as a precursor to Dell’s PowerLine SE servers. PowerEdge servers can be configured in various forms, including towers, rack-mounted hardware, and server blades.
Most PowerEdge servers utilize the x86 architecture, with the notable exception of the PowerEdge 3250, 7150, and 7250 servers, which used Intel’s Titanium processors.
