Dell Latitude 5501 Repair

The Dell Latitude 5501 was the replacement for the Dell Latitude 5591. The 5501 upgraded CPU line to the 9th generation of Intel Processors and was sold starting in 2019.

This laptop offered a variety of CPU options for configuration. Intel i7-9850H, Intel i5-9400H, and the Intel i5-9300H.

The 5501 was another laptop in the Latitude line of PCs offered by Dell. Mainly marketed toward corporate enterprise and business application over that of personal use. The 5501 was a lightweight laptop aimed at meeting a daily work use case, easy to carry while still retaining a 15.6 inch screen size.

The 5501 did have some heating concerns being overall hotter than it's predecessor the 5591. But was still a well reviewed option despite these concerns. Reviewers and users praised the lightweight carbon fiber body and vPro processors offered in the 5501.

On release the 5501 and its options ranged in between $1,200 and $2,000

The Dell Latitude 5501 is branded on the bottom of the laptop specifically calling out the model and model number. (Latitude 5501) There is also a service tag on the bottom of the PC that could also be used in attempt to identify the device using the Dell support website. The device is made of Carbon material and is grey, lightweight, and retains a traditional laptop format. The top of the device will be branded with the Dell logo. The laptop does retain a number pad to the side as well. Dimensions are 14.13" x 9.29" x 0.86" and weighs only 4 pounds. As well as sporting a 15.6 inch screen.
