Background
The Canon PowerShot G1 X was released by Canon in 2012. This camera is very similar to it's successor, the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II which was released in 2014. Some key differences between the two are:
- When looking at the front of the camera, "G1 X" is written in the lower left hand corner of the first model, and in the lower right hand corner of the Mark II.
- The flash on the Mark II pops up by pressing a small button located on the left side of the camera. The flash on the original does not pop up.
- The Mark II has a touch screen, whereas the original does not.
Identification
The Canon PowerShot G1 X model (G1 X) is printed on the front of the handgrip casing.
