Identification and Background
The Studio Display XDR was announced on March 3th, 2026 and released March 11th, alongside the 2026 MacBook Pro 14" and 2026 MacBook Pro 16". Marketed as the companion screen to the Mac Studio, the Studio Display XDR features a 27-in 5K display with a 5120x2880 resolution and 1,000 nits of brightness (up to 2,000 nits peak for HDR content). It has a built-in 12MP Ultra Wide camera, three-mic array, and six-speaker audio system, which enable features like Center Stage and “Hey Siri.”
The Studio Display XDR comes in Standard Glass and Nano-texture Glass variants, the latter offering light scattering to minimize glare; they are priced $3,299 and $3,599, respectively. Similarly, the Studio Display XDR has two mounting options at checkout: a Tilt- and height-adjustable stand or VESA mount adapter. The VESA mount adapter works with any VESA-compatible 100 x 100 mm mount.
