Alaris Ivac Core-Check 2090 Repair

The Alaris IVAC Core-Check 2090 is a durable, non-invasive medical-grade electronic thermometer manufactured by Alaris Medical Systems and made for hospital and clinical use.

This device is designed to measure core body temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit within 3 seconds using infrared technology by placing the tip in the patient’s ear canal. The thermometer uses disposable ear shields to help keep sanitary conditions and avoid contamination by disposing of the used shield before using it again.

The thermometer features a digital display for the temperature readings and offers a display backlight for low-light conditions. The thermometer is powered by a single 9-volt battery and has a convenient home base that holds the thermometer and the dispenser. The dispenser holds and dispenses the ear shields (model P90) stacked on top of each other to prevent contamination and is accessible to load the ear shield for use.

This thermometer also features an anti-theft feature that disables the thermometer from use if it's taken outside the building.

Damage may occur if alcohol or acetone is used for cleaning. Recommended to use the following for cleaning to prolong thermometer life as cleaning of the lens and thermometer is vital for prolonged use:

The IVAC Core-Check 2090 thermometer is a rectangular plastic body with a handheld section and a screen on top where the temperature is shown. The tip in the front should be covered with a new ear shield for hygiene before use with a patient. The home base is plastic and has a section for the thermometer and the dispenser. The dispenser is where the ear shields (model P90) are stacked to help prevent cross-contamination.

The display shows temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit and may also show battery or error icons. When resetting or calibrating the thermometer, certain icons will show on the screen to indicate the status or completion of the reset.

This thermometer differs from other models by being more compact in size and shape, and it uses upgraded internal software.
