Background and Identification
From the years 1960 to 1999, all Chevrolet and GMC light duty pickup trucks were placed under the model name C/K (C for rear-wheel drive, and K for 4-wheel drive).
Though its design seems boxy-looking by modern standards, GM engineers sculpted the third generation "Rounded-Line" exterior for improved aerodynamics and fuel consumption. A further cosmetic and mechanical refresh was rolled out for the 1981 model year.
Engine configurations included V6, straight-6, and V8 variants.
