Can't succeed at the last step of screen replacement
I successively followed the steps in these guides:
Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus Screen and Battery Assembly Replacement
Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus Screen Replacement
It was no issue until the last step of screen removal. At this step, instead of removing the screen, only the screen cover seems to have detached, and I'm left with an aluminum-looking foil, probably a part of the screen itself.
I thought it was probably just a matter of degluing the screen itself, but after a few tries I noticed there seems to be more afoot there, and that's probably why there's no screen replacement guide for the s22+.
I did buy a screen replacement kit including the screen part from ifixit, so I would be at a loss if I needed to buy a part again, this time a screen and battery assembly, so I'm looking for help here, from anyone who knows whether there's a next step I can take that doesn't involve taking out my debit card.

Which screen kit did you buy, the screen or the screen+battery kit? The two kits require completely different approaches to replacement so we can't really tell you what might be going on without knowing which direction you're going with it. I'm guessing you got the screen only kit since there's a guide available for the screen+battery kit, is that right?
