I dropped my phone and the fingerprint sensor no longer works. No matter how many times I turned the phone off and on, the button got very hot, but the fingerprint sensor didn't work.

@ramtin64372 this "the button got very hot" by itself is a pretty good indication that your fingerprint sensor got damaged. Time to replace it. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for it, you may need to use something like this video The sensor itself is readily available at many online stores.
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
