It sounds like you're saying you're having trouble with the touch screen, even though it's new. Was it working right after the screen replacement, and now it doesn't, or did it never work after the work was done? Either way, it's possible the new screen was damaged during installation, it was defective, or perhaps the connector isn't seated fully; there are several possibilities as to why.

Is the entire touch screen non-responsive, or is it just part of the screen? If autorotate is on, you may be able to move the keyboard out of the damaged area by rotating the phone to the side. Alternatively, if you plug in a wired computer mouse, you can use that in lieu of the touch screen.

I hate to say it, but frankly it sounds like you're going to need to replace the screen again. If you paid someone to do the work, I would expect it to be covered under warranty. If you did the work yourself you'll want to first recheck your work; clean, examine and reconnect everything that was unplugged during the replacement then verify whether the problem is gone or not. If nothing helps, there may be a warranty on the screen itself you can avail yourself of.

Thank you for the information

Basically i sent the phone in to replace the Screen.

I got information that the screen works, except the "keypad" where you enter your password, it sounds confusing to me that only that part of the screen doesnt work, the person who is fixing my phone said that theres an problem with the hardware, which i dont understand how its hardware related

@piesang58801 The touch screen, more properly called the digitizer, is made up of a matrix, or tic-tac-toe pattern of signals. A section of those signals, whether horizontally or vertically, can get detached from the ribbon cable connecting it to the motherboard and when that happens you get dead spots on the screen that won't take input.

I have yet to see a case where a bad spot on the digitizer couldn't be fixed simply by replacing the screen, so I'm skeptical about the repair person's claim that it's "hardware"; at least hardware that's not on the screen itself.

In addition to @dadibrokeit 's thoughts:

It doesn't sound 'kosher' to me, sounds like a botched repair but I don't know that... Many phones these days intentionally block functions of 3rd party parts (Apple, Samsung) but that doesn't seem to be true of Honor (yet) So:

Besides seeking a repair that works instead of rolling over...

You can try getting into your phone in several ways:

Method 1: Unlock using Android Device Manager (ADM), also called Google Find My Device, can unlock remotely... IF already enabled! To use it:

1. Open a web browser (on another device) and go to the Google Find My Device page and sign in with the same Google account as your phone.

2. After you log in, select the locked device from those linked to the Google account.

3. Click the “Lock” option and set a temporary password. Next, click "Lock" again to confirm.

4. Go to your phone, lock screen settings and disable the temporary password.

I'm not sure this will help if the screen still won't let you enter the pin... if so, I'd try NOT locking it checking to see it you have access and try chaning or turning off the secure login. (I'm guessing on this.)

Method 2: If you are running Android 4.4 or lower, (doubtful) you can unlock your phone without a PIN or pattern by using your Google account:

1. Enter the wrong PIN or pattern five times in a row. Your phone will block another attempt for 30 seconds.

2. After the wait, you’ll see an option "Forgot Pattern" at the bottom of the screen.

3. You’ll be prompted to enter your backup PIN OR log in with your Google account. Sign in with the Google account linked to this device.

4. Unlock your phone: Once signed in, your phone will unlock, and you can create a new screen lock method if you wish.

Method 3: Factory Reset

If you HAVEN'T enabled ADM a factory reset is an option.

THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA, INCLUDING THE PASSWORD!

To do this:

1. Turn off the phone and disconnect any cables.

2. Press and hold the volume up and power buttons simultaneously—until the recovery mode screen appears.

3. Scroll the recovery menu using the volume buttons and select option to factory reset.

4. Confirm: The phone will reset to the out of the box state...

(ERASING EVERYTHING but what it came with!)

5. Reboot... the phone will reboot, allowing you to configure it as a new device.

You possibly can recover your important files via the HONOR Cloud service after the factory reset. it syncs your app data, notes, passwords, and other essential files across devices, so you may not lose data permanently.

Unlock Phone without PIN/Pattern via Google Account

Someone else may have a better idea for you, but that's the limit of my knowledge on this one.

Good Luck.
