@pupusa first do a visual check of your speaker. Check the speaker cone for any rips or tears. Yes, you can gently push the speaker cone inward and if you feel a scraping you may have a damaged speaker. The most reliable test would be to check for continuity and resistance of your speaker. Here is a good guide on how to check speakers and the wiring How to Test Speakers and Wires

If your speaker checks out okay, you need to check the amplifier circuitry of your PartyBox. For that use the SM that you can find under the Documents Tab on this JBL PartyBox 300 page. Pay particular attention to the capacitors in this circuit.

If you are unsure about those components, post some good pictures of the circuit board with your question. that way we can see what you and hopefully help you out further. Adding images to an existing question

You have to check out the resistance of the speaker, try to manual push the speaker part to check is it stuck in the magnet. If everything's ok with the speaker, check the speaker amplifier IC.
