Released November 2020, the PS5 console features vastly upgraded visuals and an innovative new Dualsense controller. The space-age black-and-white color scheme is a noticeable departure from PlayStation designs of the past.

Blu-Ray drive acts like it's dead -- fuse values

So, pretty big edit from how this original post was written -- apologies, all.

Been fixing a PS5, had to do a pretty common fuse replacement on F5402. I then caught that I'd have to replace F501 on the drive daughterboard as well. Are those fuses the same value? Perhaps more to the point, where could I find the appropriate values for all the fuses in the system?

Hi! Glad that you got the voltage fixed :)! Should be 12V yes. Are you sure the mechanism is correct? Because it does sound like there is something wrong with it. Did you tried another drive? Would test this first so you know where to find the issue. Make sure you transfer the old drive it's PCB to the new drive!

I agree -- I thought so as well, but user swears up and down the drive wasn't opened and worked prior to the system cleaning. Maybe more important, I don't currently have a donor drive to test against :) so hopefully I find something else!

I did change the question up a lot since the original version; I'm currently still fuse-hunting.

Yeah, maybe it's for the best to check the fuses first before proceeding. Maybe multiple things failed on that drive causing issues. Hopefully you will get it fixed by measuring components on the board. Worst case, a new drive need to be tested to do more detailed troubleshooting...

Turns out they're not the same value. F501 is an 0.75 A fuse -- so different value than both the F540x and F700x fuses.

Ahh, did you replaced that one now? Is it working for now again?
