Thermal fuse good, kettle won't heat

I purchased a Fellows Stag kettle at a local thrift. The kettle won't heat. I have checked continuity across the fuse and it is good. However, there is no continuity across the heating element. Can that be replaced? If so, where can I acquire a new heating coil?

the manufacturer sells replacement parts here. The only part that would solve your problem is replacing the kettle body

It seems the device has a variety of common issues, such as over-boiling and generally poor reliability.
