replacement battery no recognized by OS

After installation of replacement battery I followed the instructions to reset the battery on my computer. Computer still tells me to replace battery after several attempts to re set, how should I proceed? I recently purchased a new battery from you for my 2015 MacBook Pro. Installation went smoothly and new battery holds a charge but depletes quickly although not as fast a the battery it replaced.

Install CoconutBattery and post the info displayed to the question. There are also 3 or 4 .plist files under System/Library/Preferences .com.apple.power* delete them, empty the trash, and restart the unit doing a PRAM & SMC reset. Do another CB screenshot so we can compare the 'before and after' and go from there.
