Does the computer appear to be on other than the black screen? If so, there are two things to try next.

  1. Shine a flashlight on the screen in a dark room. If the backlight has gone out, you'll still be able to make out an image on the screen; try different angles for viewing and the light.
  2. Try plugging in an external monitor; if you have a USB-C to HDMI adapter you can plug it into a television. Anyway, if the external monitor works then your LCD may have failed and would need to be replaced. Note that there may be key sequences you have to press to enable the external monitor; that should be documented in your users manual.

Give those things a try then come on back and let us know what you find.
