Button & screen having issues

Hi, 2 issues. Yesterday I replaced my phone battery. When I put it back together I noticed the top volume button is hard to push and doesn’t feel right. The bottom one feels fine.

Also, the middle left side of my screen doesn’t lay flat. The adhesive I replaced yesterday wasn’t a perfect placement, so I think replacing it again might be a good start for fixing the screen?

I tried to open the phone for both of my issues and I didn’t see anything.
