Ethernet cable isn't being detected when connected

So since a few months ago my laptop's ethernet port will not detect any plugged in Ethernet cables, it did before and for some reason now it doesn't I have opened it a few times to check and everything seems fine on the inside. I also do keep it clean, and i do not know what its problem is, any help is appreciated

When you plug in your ethernet cable do you see lights on the port? Check the device manager to make sure your laptop sees the port and confirm that it's not in some weird driver error state. If it looks fine in device manager, click on the driver tab in the ethernet properties and check the driver version and date. You will want to update your driver, if it's out of date.

yea the bottom white light is constantly on and the light above is blinking red quickly, there should be no problem with the cables since they work i did test them out, also im using a TP-LINK AV600 Powerline adapter, because getting cable to my room is not possible, I've also checked it and its working fine

Check the connection bottom right of desktop and make sure ethernet is turned on.

Blinking red light indicates connection has been paused.
