The GameCube is Nintendo's fourth console gaming system. Repair is simple and requires only common tools.

3rd party Gamecube Memory Card doesn't read saves

Whenever I try to use the memory card in a game it says it's damaged, and in the settings it says: "The device inserted in Slot A cannot be used."

The only thing that happened to that memory card was me moving it from my Gamecube to my Wii occasionally.

Which model of GameCube is it? (If it has a Digital AV out, it's a DOL-001. If not, it's a DOL-101.) I'm not sure if it would make a difference, but it might. Does it still function on the Wii? That could also make a difference.

Hi!

Do other memory cards works fine?

I would try this first before you are going to replace the front panel.

If so, then I would replace the memory card and get rid of the broken one. It won't be easy to fix that one unfortunately...
