Sony WH-CH720N won't charge after water incident.

My Sony headphones got dunked in water accidentally. I quickly pulled them out and towel dried them off. An hour later I put them in rice and let them sit for 24 hours. I didn't make sure they were powered off during this time so I might have ruined them. When I pulled them out of the rice, they did not turn on. When I tried to charge them, the light next to the usb-c charging port does not turn on. I opened the earphones up (see pictures) and noticed the battery and USB port are on different sides of the headphones. If the charging light doesn't show when plugged in , I'm guessing its an issue with the charging circuitry and not just a battery issue? Id love to fix these if possible since I've had them for less than 3 months. Not sure I'm up for resoldering a USBC port into the headphones but it would be nice to know what the best way to fix these would be, if there is a solution?
