The Nintendo 2DS is a handheld gaming device developed as an entry level version of the Nintendo 3DS with nearly identical hardware, but without the 3D upper screen function.

Volume is erratic, it doesn't follow the slider

Recently changed the screens, and after assembly the volume slider didn't seem to control the volume.

I checked both the outer and inner slider, they are both in place. Is there another element I am missing?

Hi!

The volume slider is directly soldered on the motherboard for the 2DS!

You might want to check the traces and solder pads, if they all look fine, it's possible that volume slider is broken and need to be replaced..

There is not much else what could be the cause here!
