Installed and Charged according to instructions. Doesn't last.

Purchased replacement battery from ifixit (original was starting to swell) and installed the new battery. Charged to 100% for over 2 hours. Ran the battery down until the system was unresponsive (charge was dead) charged back to 100% and now the battery dies at about 18%. Dies faster than my original battery I had in it since 2012 when i bought the unit. I'm using all the original charging cables and wall plugs. Am I doing something wrong?
