Power putton is nearly stuck and doesn't work 9/10 times

Hi,

The buttons on a phone are designed to move in and out freely, if you check the operation of the other buttons you should see how the power is meant to feel.

If your power button doesn’t have the same easy movement then it’s possible that you have a buildup of dirt and/or grime that is reducing the buttons ability to return properly.

You can try using some 98% isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush to try and clean in between the button edges to see if this helps.

If that doesn’t work then it’s possible that the contact plate on the inside has been bent back from the button being pushed too hard, too long.

In this case you may need to open the device, inspect the contact plate and replace if necessary.
