MI Horizon Laptop Won't Start After Shutdown

I have an MI Horizon 14 model laptop, and I'm experiencing a problem where it won't start after being shut down. Here's what's happening:

If I open the back cover, disconnect the battery cable and CMOS cable from the motherboard, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect them, the system will start up normally. Once it's running, everything works fine—I can restart it or put it in sleep mode without any issues. However, if I shut it down completely, I can't start it again unless I repeat the process of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and CMOS cables.

Can anyone help me understand what's causing this issue and how I can fix it permanently? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Is your cmos battery good. Have you tried hitting F8 just before windows loads and trying start up repair and repair options. It’s difficult to say if it’s a board issue or not sounds like it could be a failed or failing component. Delve into the bios also maybe something is being reset to default that needs adjustment for the system to power up.

I have changed the CMOS battery. But the problem is still there. When the problem was going on, I used the windows reset option. But it did not solve the problem either.

Have you tried just disconnecting the battery/ bios separately . I still have a hunch it’s a blown component but is it both together or either or? . It may help narrow things down on the board..or not.
