Hi @rvr58iuikkhu8zu

Yes the model number is a Uniden DECT 1715.

To reset the red flashing light, with the phone in standby mode i.e. not being used, open the menu in the phone and select Global Setup > VMWI Reset > Yes

If you don't need the Call Waiting feature disable it and check if that resolves the blinking light problem, if it returns after you have reset it as shown above.

Go to your phone service provider's website and search for how to turn it off. Each service provider has their own set of dialing codes to enable/disable features for the phone service e.g. Call Waiting, Call Forward etc.

Hey,

Found this at (techwalla)

Getting your unit to stop flashing its message light is pretty simple: Listen to the messages. From the base of the unit, you can typically do this by pressing the "Play" button and then listening to the messages. From your cordless phone, you'll typically press the envelope icon. The system will play the new messages first, followed by any saved messages. Once you've listened to all of the new messages, the lights on the base unit and the cordless phone should turn off. Since every Uniden cordless phone system is slightly different, check your unit's user guide for more specific instructions on playing, deleting and saving messages.

Not sure if it will work for this model, if not then you can go to this manuals site for the 1715 - you should be able to identify the model from that.

Hope this helps

I have had this problem for quite a long time, ever since I purchased the phone it has consistently flashed. There are no messages, I do not have a message box on my telephone account provided by my telephone company.

There are actually two telephones, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen, and both flash. I have made a pest of myself contacting the telephone service provider who insist there is no voice mail facility on this line.

I followed the steps listed in the manual to clear my mail box, and that is effective for approximately 30 minutes, and then the whole performance starts yet again.

So far all the suggestions I have had, have had either no effect or very temporary effect.

Help somebody, please bloody help me

Did you try the answer above this one that you commented in? You never said that you tried doing what was suggested.

Yes I tried the answer, even though I have been through the same process numerous times already.

It did not work, it caused a pause of about 15 / 20 minutes and then it started all over again.

@rvr58iuikkhu8zu

Did you disable CW on your phone service? It is enabled or disabled in the phone service provider's equipment and not in the phone. You need to dial certain codes to enable/disable the feature.

The telephone company says there is no "call waiting" installed on their system. The handset doesn't appear to have any "call waiting" feature installed, I'm open to someone telling me otherwise, but I have been through the manual several times and unless it's tiny little print tucked in some obscure place, it doesn't appear to be mentioned.
