Pokemon gold doesn't boot, blank screen after nintendo logo

hi, I'm trying to get my old pokemon gold game to work, it gets past the gameboy logo after I cleaned it, but now the screen is blank and nothing happens. Anyone know what the problem could be? Here's how the inside looks:

Those gold contact fingers have seen better days, for sure. Might be worth your time to clean them off good with a pencil eraser; one of those old school ink erasers would be even better, and perhaps even some electronic parts/contact cleaning spray.

Hi @emiliozapata

Its become overheated and burnt. Not much chance of saving the board as a lot of the traces have melted.

What do the components on the other side of the board look like? probably burnt as well

It's definitely a write off in my book

Actually the small chip just needs soldering on one side
