The Nintendo Switch is a handheld game console that can be played on the TV via a docking station, or on the go. Released March 3rd, 2017.

Touchscreen isn't working after standby, after reboot it works again.

So I can play what ever I want and as long as I want and it works fine, but after standby touch doesn't work. But when I reboot the touch works again.

I thought maybe software problem, so did factory reset but still the same..tried the latest update and still the same

Any clue what might be going on?

Ps: I don't have a extra gamecard reader to try

@darthmango

Yes this is how I always reboot

But I fixed the issue. It was something completely different. I was thinking about the rcm-jig and how this probably could damage the joyconrail. So I replaced the right joyconrail and now the touchscreen works every time coming out of standby.

Try to turn it off after every use (it may be annoying to power it back on) but for most technology truning it off instead of putting it into sleep mode weirdly helps and considering after turning it off and on again helps after putting it in sleep mode especially if it hasn't been turned off in a while. Try this for about a few days and hopefully it works.

Thank you for the reply Hampter.

I'll try it. Hope it'll work =D

BTW it's a v1 (unpatched) device. You'll probably understand why I don't turn it off.

@arie42291 reboot to hekate via the homebrew menu then, it'll have the same effect

@arie42291 isn't it weird that one broken piece can brick an entire peice of technology

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

@hampter yeah it's weird especially because it only happened after standby but worked after a reboot.
