My fingerprint sensor stopped working. all updates are installed. I removed the existing fingerprints, and cleared the cache. When I try to register a new fingerprint, it briefly pops up the fingerprint scanner, then says, "Fingerprint Operation Cancelled."
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I fixed it! I'm not sure why this worked, but here's what I did.
I turned off the phone, then rebooted it into Safe Mode. Then I went into the settings and tried to register my fingerprint again. It took a few tries. It would error out in the middle of trying the first few times. About the 5th or 6th try, it let me register 2 different fingerprints.
I rebooted the phone into normal mode, and it has worked perfectly ever since then.
