3DS Won't Charge (Not a battery or charger issue)

I changed the bottom screen completely on my system and now it wont charge. The light doesn't turn on and what's more odd the charger I'm using has a red light on it when its plugged into the wall but the red light turns off when I plug it into the system. I've tried a new battery and a new wire, both of which did nothing. I tried putting my battery into another system and the other system still worked fine with my battery and wire. Any help would be appreciated ^-^
