My phone dropped in burning pile, when i finally realized what had happened, i dug in the ashes and found it, the screen just slid off phone. To my surprise, my phone is still working, i have been getting notifications, and phone is ringing. If i replace screen should that be all i need to do?

Wow, sounds like you're one lucky person!

It's definitely possible. You might find other issues once the display is replaced, like cameras or microphones, but I'm sure your display didn't appreciate the heat. If you want, edit some pictures into your original post and we can have a look at the internals to try and determine how likely you are to encounter other issues. But it sounds like the logic board at the very least is functioning as intended.

@rvservice you can click edit on your original question and there should be an option to attach pictures. There's a guide as well if screenshots help to visualize

@rvservice Oh wow! That’s not what I was expecting at all. It looks like some of the layers of the display came delaminated, but not all of them. I was expecting the display itself to have come altogether. But I suppose this makes more sense.

The Face ID assembly definitely looks a little worse for wear. I wouldn’t trust that to work for sure, even though I can see some parts firing off infrared light. If you’re feeling really adventurous, and have a pentalobe P5 screwdriver to remove the security screws at the bottom, I might try to get the rest of the display out and see what the internals themselves look like. At least you don’t have to worry about breaking the screen? Just be mindful of the battery.

I’m not sure how functional you want the phone to be. No Face ID or front facing camera is one thing, but phones have a whole lot of bits and pieces.
