After replacing battery, now has worse battery life than old one
I ordered a new battery from Ifixit and installed it with no issues, Performed the initial charge to 100 and let it sit for a few hours like their guide said to. After the few hours on charge I didn't plug it in overnight because it was still at 70% battery charge. In the morning, about 8 hours later it was at 3% battery. This seems like a bit of excessive battery loss for 8 hours of doing nothing, no background apps open and location services are off. Before replacing the battery it may have only lost at most 10% overnight. So I used it until it died then charged it back up to 100%. After some mixed use of Bluetooth music streaming and web browsing it sits at 64%. Screen on time is 3hr34. screen off time is 1hr45. screen brightness was about 40%. The old battery was at 79% SOH and would be doing better on battery percentage than this new one. Maybe I need to charge cycle it more for IOS to get a better handle on the new battery? Maybe got a bad faulty replacement part? Any thoughts or suggestions on this?
