Do I need a new screen only or are there other problems?

My daughter dropped her A2179 MacBook Air and her screen now has lines that have gotten progressively worse but it appears the progression as stopped as you see them now in this video:

There are no visible cracks in the screen. Is it likely that the screen is my only problem and a replacement will fix the issue?

Hi Brent,

Yeah, that's definitely a cracked LCD panel. I would have a high degree of confidence that replacing the screen will fix it.

Keep in mind that the MacBook displays are non-repairable (at least not for us home DIY-ers) - you can't just replace the LCD panel separately from the digitizer, for instance; you have to replace the entire display assembly.
