What product do you recommend for removing a smartphone battery?

What product do you recommend for removing a smartphone battery sticker? I wanted to get iFixit Adhesive Remover but I saw that it is no longer available. Last time I did it through a hair dryer, but I still risked ruining the battery a bit.

Hi

See my answer as a extension of the amazing answer @guardian10 has kindly provided

IFixit’s adhesive remover is good but iFixits iOpener is also a great choice

A hair dryer works great too along side isopropyl alcohol

Also here’s a little tip:when prying battery’s up try your best to AVOID metal tools as they can puncture the battery if you aren’t careful

Plastic tools don’t have as high a chance of puncturing a battery but the risk is still there so it’s best to stick to the ones that are flat and don’t have any sharp edges

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)

Thank you very much for your advice. Everything went well, however, now I have encountered new problems.

While it is preferable to use Ifixit adhesive remover, you can use regular isopropyl alcohol to weaken the adhesive, then pry the battery up.
