Video and Photo not recording to micro sd card

I have the Ruko F11 Pro 4K GPS drone. All works fine except my videos and photos only show up in phone app and not on the micro sd card in drone. I have the Micro Center 32GB high speed 10 card that is formatted to FAT32 as required. When I power up the drone and connect to phone app, I never see anything on app display that indicates the drone is reading the sd card. What am I doing wrong? Beyond frustrated. Any suggestions?

Hi @tbodrone?

What files if any are shown stored on the card after taking pictures/videos when you insert the card into a card reader connected to a computer?

Assuming that you start with a formatted empty card.

When I did a Quick Format, nothing shows up on the card. I took the time later to do a long format and put it back in drone it appears I have a file "Videos shortcut". When I open it the file says "Captures". I'll try to take more videos and photos with this newly reformatted card to see if it indeed works now. Thanks.

Took new long formatted sd card with "Videos Shortcut" and "Captures" files. Used new Ruko Pro APP and fired up drone. Videos and photos once again only show up in APP and in my Samsung Galaxy 9+ Gallery app.

Hi @tbodrone

So there were no files in the Video Shortcut and captures folders on the SD card then?

It seems that the drone can detect the card as it created the new folders in it from an empty formatted card but then won't write the images to files in the card.

According to the manual it places compressed video/camera image files on the card.

Maybe try to reset the drone and check if that works.

According to this link your drone is the same one as the one shown in the video.

Unfortunately if I'm wrong you could brick the drone by installing the wrong software.

Thanks jayeff. I am in contact by email with Ruko Support Team. Last suggestion from them was to reformat SD cards and select largest allocation unit which was 64 kilobytes. I'm going to try that first. If it still doesn't work, I'll follow up with your suggestion.

Thanks for taking the time to try to help me. I really appreciate it.

@tbodrone

If it doesn't work by reformatting the SD card with the new parameters, contact Roku again and ask for the firmware and firmware installation instructions, just in case they are different to what I linked for the other brand drone

Cheers

Hailey with Ruko customer service thinks the camera is not reading the SD card correctly. They are sending me a replacement camera. After that swap out, I'll post back here as to whether or not it works correctly.
