MacBook drives use the same PATA interface until the Early/Mid 2009 models.

Regardless, iBooks use a full-sized drive, and the MacBooks use slimline drives, so they are not compatible. Sorry!

They're definitely not inter- changeable. The iBook uses Pata connector and the A1181 uses a sata interface.

Are you thinking of hard drives? The A1181 uses the same interface until Early 2009 models.
