iPhone 8 shows Apple logo, but gets stuck on black screen

I was opening up an iPhone 8 to replace the camera. When opening I somehow managed to rip one of the screen flex cables. Luckily, I had a spare screen on hand so I decided to install it. With every part installed, I go to turn it on. Here is where the problems arise. Turning it on, the display shows life but it only shows a black screen. After a while, the phone turns on. I am able to feel it vibrate when I use the mute switch, and the touchscreen works too since I am able to hear the passcode typing sound. I decide to install a known working but cracked original iPhone screen to see if it was an issue with the screen. Turning it on, it sometimes shows the Apple logo during startup and goes to a black screen. Sometimes, it turns on but the screen is not on at all.

I have made sure all connectors are clean and correctly seated, and I haven’t noticed any damage on the surface at all. I have also put images of the logic board for anyone to inspect for faults. Thanks!

Try to get a better picture of this connector and remove that spongy insulation around it. Some isopropyl alcohol can help remove it.

I apologize if it’s hard to see, this is the best shot I managed to get. @hootonberg
