How to reattach little white piece for faceplate?

Hi, so I was replacing my wii disc drive, which had malfunctioned for about 2 years, and it was successful. But, in the process, using needlenose pliers I somehow broke the little white piece with two contacts off. It attaches to the wire on the faceplate. Is there anyway I could reattach or replace it? I don't know exactly what this piece does. Thanks.
