Restarting with no video at first

Hi everybody, I have a big problem with my macbook pro. At first it won't power up, led was continuosly blinking and the mac was restarting with no video, I disassembly it and start testing some things and I reallized that with the touchpad disconnected the mac powers up and boots normally, but the keyboard don't work, I used an external keyboard and it works but the mac was really slow, like freezing for some seconds and then continue to work, I try an SMC reset and it does the process, so my keyboard sould be working and also reset PRAM and it does it too. I took the logic board out and I clean it and take a close look at the whole board and nothing looks bad, no water damage, no corrosion. Also it gave me the "your computer has restarted because of a problem" screen and the it boots normally. I try another touchpad too and it wont power up. Only with the touchpad connector plugged in the logic board and disconnected from the touchpad the mac wont power on fully. Any ideas here?

thank you in advanced

Did you try running the onboard diagnostics? Restart your system and press the D key? In this case you should get an error with the trackpad as its disconnected (see if you can run it with the trackpad connected too)

Reference: Mac startup key combinations

The trackpad has a few sensors within it so when you disconnected it you put your system into CPU Safe mode which is when SMC looses access to its sensors it lowers the CPU's clocking and ramps up the fan.

So you likely will need a new trackpad, but before you get one lets' see if there are other issues.

A common cause is people using wet wipes to wipe down their systems or spray their systems down with a cleaner and then wipe it off. In both cases the cleaning liquid seeps in through to gaps and can cause damage to the electronics just behind.

I always recommend spraying the cleaner on a cloth or paper towel and then wipe the system and not use pre-moistened wipes at all.

I’ll try the diagnostics later and tell you later the results. But, I already tried a working touchpad and the mac wont start up, i tried two different touchpad and two different touchpad ribbons with the same result:mac keeps rebooting before the white screen and chime

@annielservitec - What was the part number of the trackpad and the source

I tried a trackpad from macbook pro 13” mid 2012

I’m going to assume you replaced the Trackpad plate alone

Block Image

Vs replacing the cable assembly

Block Image

Which is where the trackpads electronics sit.

If that is what you did then you haven’t replaced the damaged part which is the cable end.

I replaced both, same error

@annielservitec - What did diagnostics tell you?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

it does not enter diagnostics, will try another keyboard, but, its funny, d key works on password placeholder, and command works because it does fine the smc reset. It looks like the problem its in the logic board
