Can the RAM be upgraded for this laptop?

Hello,

My MacBook Air (late 2010) is slow at times, I would like to ask if there are any upgrades to improve performance.

To quote IFIXIT teardown:

“Unfortunately, like all previous MacBook Airs, the RAM is soldered to the logic board and is not upgradable. Apple does offer a 4GB RAM option at the time of purchase, but if you opt for only 2GB and decide you want more RAM later you'll be out of luck.”

But you can replace the SSD, it you have a small one 128/256GB maybe getting to a bigger one will help 500/1TB more so if your drive is over filled! You really need to have 1/3 of the drive free for the smaller sized SSD's and 1/4 for the larger as the OS and app need leg room for Virtual RAM & Cache!
