Error message but no error first print each day

Each day, the first print job I try the machine wakes up and then sits with the red light on. I have learned that opening the door you open to replace the cartridges and closing it again clears this error and the unit will print fine the rest of the day. There is nothing wrong otherwise I can detect. What is wrong and how can I fix it?
