Sounds like the battery could be swollen and pushing the back off.

The watch has four screws on the back which makes me wonder how bad it might look inside to make it come off.

Just hold on a few more days and we’ll publish guides for opening the watch and replacing the battery as well as taking the core assembly out.


If you want to try yourself before you’ll need a Tripoint Y00 screwdriver / bit to get the back cover off.

I’m sure you can maybe snapp the backing back on, or examine it if it has any screws to re-screw in. If you’ve already tried this, try taking it to a local watch specialist.
