Mine looks like this, but I inherited the black screen so idk why this got damaged. I also replaced the memory. What is the standard memory in imacs? This had Kingston in it (16 GB (4x4GB SODMMs)

I ordered a cable and know how to replace. I’ll let you know how the replacement goes

Hello Katie,

The standard memory in this iMac series is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).

Why did you replace the 4 x 4 GB Kingston memory?

How did your cable replacement go?

@katielamirand - Sorry I didn’t see your post. Here’s the guide you’ll need low get the display off iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2389 Display Replacement. You’ll then need to carefully lift the shield to gain access to the cable.
