The Raspberry Pi Model B is a credit-card-sized single-board computer released in February 2012 by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to encourage teaching of computer science. The original Model B was replaced by the improved Model B+ in 2014.

Why can't I boot my raspberry pi properly

I have tried redownloading raspberry pi images from the official releases and configuring them for WiFi and SSH’ing into it as I have to run it headlessly however it doesn’t seem to be connecting to the WiFI or Ethernet when I plug it in, the ethernet lights however do come on. If anyone could help me for why this is not connecting I would be very thankful!

There are couple of approaches you can do. I apologise as I am bit late to answer this. probably you already find the answer.

  1. Check into your router that pi booted and up on the network. If not then you can try two approach.
    1. if you have jumper wire and USB to TTL converter then you can do ssh over GPIO pins.
    2. If you have android phone then you can connect usb Ethernet to pi. then install ip scanner and termius to find the ip address and ssh into it.
  2. If you can see your pi connected to router. then you can access it over VNC viewer to access it.
  3. there is one twist in above point no 2. sometimes VNC is not enabled default.
  4. if both of this option does not work then you should consider to replace sd card or pi or use 1 year old release of os.
