What is the model number of the phone?

Does it ever display "connecting" and then doesn't connect when using the phone right next to the base station?

Without the model number it is difficult to help you. Not all Uniden phones use the same menus to setup the phone.

The model number can usually be found under the base station that the phone is registered with or sometimes in the battery compartment of the phone itself, under the battery.

Also if it is a portable landline phone and not a corded phone, DECT 6.0 is not a model number. It merely denotes the version of the system protocol that connects the phone with its base station
