Loose USB-C Ports - Replacement
I have a 2017 Touchbar MBP 13”. All four of it’s USB-C Ports are very very loose. I found replacement components here on iFixit but they don’t correspond with any repair manuals. Does an A1706 / EMC 3071 require soldering to replace these components? The replacements seem to have a standard connector, not a soldered connection.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In case anyone finds this in the future, the part does clip in, and you follow the guide entirely up until the battery removal process in the teardown. There is an aspect where you have to mess with glue on the touch ID but it sticks back down fairly easily. I loosed my adhesive with a cotton swab and Isopropyl 99% and a gentle swipe. Left glue in tact and once it dried it was ready to go back down.
The part from iFixIt has a great snap to it, but the rubber gasket doesn’t fit because it isn’t shaped like the original piece to accept it. The cover that screws to the board is also not adhered well to the part, so I did a few very light drops to reattach it, same with the foam on the top of the i/o cable.
