Why do I have a red X on the screen with a known good hard drive?

I have an iPod Classic 6th generation. The problem is that the iPod has a red X on the screen if I turn It on. But the hard drive and the flex cable is works well. (I tried this two components in an another iPod) I know this is not a common problem but I hope that there is anyone who solved this problem earlier. So please if you know or guess the solution share with me.

Ima guess that ether the motherboard or the part the flex cable connects to

What file system type is on the "known good hard drive"?
